World Tourism Forum 2021 Pakistan: 'Pakistan will get ارب 10 billion investment in five days', claims Zulfi Bukhari.

Following a reduction in the spread of the corona virus in Pakistan, the government announced the lifting of the tourism ban on August 8. The country's tourism industry has not yet fully opened up, but the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf's Twitter account yesterday formally announced the holding of the World Tourism Forum in 2021.
The 2021 World Tourism Forum is planned to be held in the capital, Islamabad. Tourism ministers from D-8 (eight developing countries), including Turkey, are expected to attend the forum. And it is hoped that this forum will provide an opportunity for Pakistan's tourism industry to emerge globally.
It may be recalled that Pakistan was selected as the host of the World Tourism Forum last month. The forum was scheduled for 2020 but was postponed until 2021 due to the corona virus outbreak.
What is this World Tourism Forum, what topic will be discussed in it and why there is an emphasis on holding World Tourism Forum before formulating better tourism policies and providing infrastructure and other facilities and tourism in Pakistan from this forum. What will be the benefit to the industry? To answer all these questions, we spoke to Syed Zulfiqar Bukhari (aka Zulfi Bukhari), Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Overseas Pakistanis and Tourism.
Zulfi Bukhari said that the World Tourism Forum is working in many European countries including Russia, Qatar and Turkey. He has recently worked in Rwanda. And in every country they have visited, not only has there been huge investment from foreign countries, but also the big broadcasters have started showing interest, which has further boosted tourism in these countries.
He claimed that ورل 10 billion would come to Pakistan from the World Tourism Forum within five days. In addition, the forum will provide اور 400 million worth of TV rights to major broadcasters such as the BBC and CNN in terms of advertising and promotion.
He said that the World Tourism Forum would also provide consultancy for six months after the convening of the conference so that better investment could be made from the big tourism brands coming to Pakistan.
Many in Pakistan's tourism industry have criticized the move. He believes that hosting this forum at such a time is a waste of money and before holding this forum, Pakistan should formulate a better tourism policy and also the infrastructure of tourist destinations, roads to get there. , Steps should be taken to improve the provision of internet and medical facilities in remote areas, so that the tourism industry can be brought back on track.
In this regard, Zulfi Bukhari says, "Policy making does not bring investment, it does not make roads, nor do policies provide you with internet and those who are talking like this do not know what they are saying." '
"I think their way of thinking is very stupid. First of all, hospitals, infrastructure, tourism, policies and investments are all different.
He said that there is no connection between policies and investment. We have a ten-year tourism policy with which we have a five-year action plan.
But if you want roads and hospitals to be built all over Pakistan first and the internet to come, then we will be sitting for 10 years. So shouldn't we bring investment for these 10 years? '
Zulfi Bukhari says holding the summit in Islamabad has nothing to do with the provision of infrastructure and other facilities. These two things are different.
Zulfi Bukhari said that investment comes, when people visit these areas, an ecosystem is formed which includes schools, hospitals and roads. If investment doesn't come, then the ecosystem will not be able to form because these days things go hand in hand.
He said that provision of infrastructure, roads, hospitals and internet was the responsibility of the provinces and they should pay attention to it. But our job as the National Tourism Board is to promote tourism and bring investment into the country.
He says that if one builds a five star hotel, he also fixes the area around it because it benefits his hotel.
